"Socerer" (film) remains a tense, visually compelling drama. Never seen anything quite like it. The music also remains a favourite. Well worth hunting it down if you haven't seen this @WilliamFriedkin masterwork in suspense.

My @BFI Modern Classics book on @WilliamFriedkin's masterpiece THE EXORCIST is re-issued with a new cover this week. Text is the same as the 2nd Revised Edition from twenty years ago (so it covers Version You've Never Seen). Still very proud of it after all these years.

Had lots of worried/outraged tweets alerting me to rumours of an Exorcist remake/reboot. Honestly I doubt it will happen, but if it does - so what? Nothing can touch or tarnish the original, There have been so many imitators - what harm can another one do? All will be well.
