I am enjoying House of the Dragon to an extent, but a lot of the time it just feels like... not a real show? Like the pieces are all there, but it's more of a rough sketch than an actual series.

It feels like they’re trying to hit a bunch of game of thrones beats and they’re not actually constructing a Tv show that’s meant to last several years

I feel the opposite - it’s not leaning into genre elements but it’s straight up soapy character drama that goes full political intrigue 😍 I’m here for that!
