What’s a good credit card for travel based rewards if: - I primarily fly Delta - I have excellent credit

it depends on where you spend your money. i love my amex platinum because it gives me delta sky club access and 5x the points on flights and other travel benefits. gold is good if you eat out a lot but doesn’t give you a ton of travel benefits

They’re all garbage. Awards flights are more and more impossible to book if you are flying popular routes and have a job. Honestly just get a Platinum card for the customer service. Airline branded cards are cute. Free checked bag basically.

I’d recommend the $250 annual Delta card. The $100 doesn’t do any annual reward beyond the points up front. The $250 gives you one companion certificate to use for the year so essentially pays for itself.

A DL co-branded Amex. Maybe Amex Platinum if you’re going to use it enough to make the ~$695 fee worth it.
