Today I had three meetings. Nobody showed up prepared.
One person dialed in from the car, one from the street. One said he had reviewed my product but he had not.
I'm starting to think remote work has led to some bad habits... Anybody agree or disagree?

It's hard for me to imagine showing up to an in-person meeting with such a casual attitude.
I used to go into an office every day. I got up, got dressed, put on makeup, and put on my A-game.
We sat in conference rooms, we conversed, we showed up prepared.

Now I log into zoom and half the time the person on the other end looks like they are still in their pajamas.
I meet with lawyers in hoodies, people still haven't invested in webcams or microphones. Half the time I'm looking up someone's chin and the audio quality is terrible.

This is not how I want to work for the rest of my career.
I miss going downtown. I miss being around other adults during the day. I miss lunch meetings, in-person 1:1s, the hustle and bustle of the office.
Will I ever go back to that, or is it sweatpants for life?
