KoopaTV read through all of the Metacritic reviews for Star Wars KOTOR 2. Only Game Rant mentioned this specific game-breaking bug. The others either said there are general glitches, or said it was a great port and to go buy it.

Forgot to say but it's worth noting that this port has a 79 Critic Score on Metacritic of mostly 70+. I SKIMMED thru them and only like 3 reviews mentioned this bug that prevents you from BEATING THE GAME while some didn't even mention any bugs.
