To be clear, they are differentiating between action and emotion. It's not wrong to divide the two. What makes this so uncomfortable is how much it mirrors the exact same track that homosexuality followed and where that track went.

Why are many people replying to this reading what you wrote wrong? The culture war first waged by the homosexual lobby that got heteronormativity to be seen as a bad thing is being re-waged with the same tactics, but now by the pedophile lobby. So we should not repeat the loss.

Because it's a visceral topic I suppose. Telling people to not get trapped in the same argumentative pattern as what lost last time is fruitless because to them an attack on the argument is the same as an attack on the position.
