I'm so excited. This doesn't feel like a true return to Paper Mario, but it still looks great! I loved Color Splash and this looks way better.

There's partners the same way Sticker Star and Color Splash have partners—escort NPCs that follow you in the overworld. Have yet to see evidence otherwise. Which is fine, unless you're looking for something else.

I loved partners, probably the only good part of those two new games imo. We’ve actually seen them in screenshots, so I’m happy.

If you saw this in Color Splash's trailer you would've been lead to believe partners are a thing back then.

(I think you missed the point.) If you'd like to point out where in the Origami King trailer you get the idea battle partners or overworld partners with skills are back, please do so. Sticker Star and Color Splash always had overworld for-story escort chatty partners.

I saw someone talking about an image on Twitter haha, I don’t care enough about this convo to go back and find it. All I’m saying is I hope partners return, cause I liked them from the previous two games.
