And here we go! Thank you @ava and @ARRAYNow. One mistake I’ve made - I wish I could say none but... One would be not fully preparing an actor in advance. No matter how busy you are, make sure YOU personally have connected with the actor about the scene at hand.

Counter culture is always going to feel freeing! But also made me think about what's next and who am I outside of male stories.

There's a trope of male directors making coming-of-age films about young women. What was it like doing the exact opposite? #ARRAYNow

Hey #FilmTwitter Let's do this! Thank you @Ava for having my quarantined ass. So to kick it off ONE mistake I made while making a film was not taking into account it takes a year to promote it! #ARRAYNow

What's the biggest hurdle to breaking into the industry and what advice would you give to someone looking to do so? #ARRAYNow

We need to bring in women, and people of all kinds, much earlier to the process. We need to do more than just hire them, though that's important. We need to help them to tell THEIR stories, their way. The world is craving more points of view on the big screen. #ARRAYNow

This summer was going to be a big one for female directors. How can we continue supporting women behind the camera, even with the industry in a state of flux? #ARRAYNow

Hi @REKKHAN. Good question. Interestingly it was when Peter Gabriel did the soundtrack to Birdy. My main love was art and music, but when I heard that score I thought "One day I want to make people FEEL that way." Music and story together, creating emotion, is still a passion.
What movie or event inspired you to become a filmmaker? #ARRAYNow @PattyJenks

@RealBillDuke What advice would you give actors who are looking to make the jump to directing? #ARRAYNow

Hi! Before starting production, My mom always does a prayer for us for good luck for the production and to Ganesh for obstacles to be removed. It's pretty common in the Indian film industry - and it is always such a special and grounded way to start a new production #ARRaynow

Hi @NishaGanatra, what are some of your rituals before you start your day on set? Or How do you set the mood on set? #ARRAYNow

One mistake I made was to not get coverage because the 2 shot was so brilliant on set and everyone was moved by it. That’s when I learned that what happens on set - doesn’t necessarily translate to the edit room and the final movie - #ArrayNow

One of the mistakes I've made was years ago agreeing to a pre release day to a film and knowing that the script and story was not ready. Big mistake! Script is the most important thing. Story. Structure. Characterization. Take the time there. #ARRRAYNOW

Hello! I'm here to answer questions now! To start off I've been asked to talk about a mistake. One mistake I always make is not thoughtfully cutting 20 pages out of a script instead of having to chop 20 minutes awkwardly, in the editing room. #ARRAYNow

When I directing The Air Globes I made a big mistake by putting the camera too high. I cried all night thinking that I had destroyed my movie. As it turned out that's one of people's favorite scenes. I learned that you never know. Mistakes are sometimes a blessing in disguise.

Hi, film enthusiasts. Looking forward to your questions. I'll try to answer as many questions as I can in the alloted time. One of the biggest mistakes I made in my career is saying "i'ma take a break" Did that once and didn't direct for 3 years. #ARRAYNow
