Sharing Don’t Pat the Wombat by Elizabeth Honey with primary school kids is a real privilege. Deadly Unna is a gem too but for older kids. 👌🏽👌🏽

I love teaching The Golden Age by Joan London. It’s so beautifully written and paints a picture of a quiet Australian migrant experience whilst also capturing (I assume) 1950s Perth perfectly. Great for showing the craft of writing too.
