So @ABCClassic the WASO audio expired without ever being corrected to being Perth WASO instead of Melbourne...?

Apologies we missed your earlier messages. We are rebroadcasting this concert on 1 Oct at 8pm and audio will be available after the broadcast finishes for 28 days. We recorded this concert in Perth. ab.co/2nIUV4G

Hi ABC Classic - just checking if all broadcasts have a maximum of 2.5hrs? This WASO "Side by Side with ANAM" one cuts out (mid performance) just the same as the WASO: Javier Perianes plays Beethoven" after 150mins. I have thoroughly enjoyed them. But they end so abruptly? =)

Hi David - thanks for pointing out these errors in audio on the website. We're looking at fixing up these concerts and they should have the ends on them later in the week.

You're very welcome. How did they go with this problem of the WASO concert recording links cutting out at 2.5 hrs, any luck?
The old links have expired, so hopefully there are new links...

Hi David - the audio was corrected, however we are only able to keep audio available for 30 days after broadcast for rights reasons, and so this concert audio expired some time ago. Our apologies if this expired before you were able to listen to it.

That's not entirely accurate.
#1 ABC was able to "re-publish" the audio when they realised the audio was the wrong concert. This was more than 30 days after broadcast.
#2 That re-publish was still wrong - missing audio.
#3 The full concert has actually never yet been published.

Hi David - even in correcting audio, that audio can only be made available for 30 days following the broadcast. The Side by Side concert was rebroadcast and therefore the new audio was available with permission for 30 days after broadcast.

Errors with online audio do occur from time to time. While we pick up most errors, we are always grateful to hear directly from listeners about anything that is going wrong for them. Our best contact for this is abc.net.au/classic/contact-u…

My wife contacted you via that contact link
I contacted you via Twitter
Twitter was the only medium that either of us received a response on, so not sure contact link is actually your "best contact".
Please understand we were just trying to assist and are big fans of @ABCClassic

Thanks David. We really appreciate it and are really sorry about that your messages slipped through the cracks on both twitter and our contact form. It is rare, but we'll certainly look into our processes to try and prevent this in the future.
